Allergens
Please advise me of any special dietary requirements before making payment. My kitchen deals with wheat, eggs, milk, butter and occasionally nuts. If I have not been made aware of any allergies I can not be held responsible for any allergic reactions to any of the ingredients. This is agreed when signing the agreement below.
Design Confirmation
Prior to any payments you must agree a design. After your consultation I will provide you with a copy of the cake information and tasting questions along with an invoice. Please ensure you read through and check all elements discussed. In the event there is an error on the cake information form it is Your responsibility to make me aware of any changes. Changes can be made 14 days prior to the event, any changes requested after 14 days could incur an additional fee. A deposit made must be made within 7 working days to ensure your booking can be secured.
Refunds and Cancellation policy
Full payments for all wedding cakes are due 6 weeks prior to the event, if full payment is not received I reserve the right to withhold your deposit and your order will not be completed. Deposits are non-refundable due to any loss of business arising from turning away other bookings on that date. However if there is a change due to illness or emergency I maybe able to transfer your order to a future date without the loss of your deposit.
If full payment is made upon order and you then cancel, I reserve the right to withhold 80% of the total amount paid if you do not give more than 6 weeks notice and you will receive a partial refund of 20% of the total amount paid. Any cancellation after the 6 week period will result in the full amount being withheld due to costs, time spent and loss of business.
In the very unlikely event that I have to cancel your order for any reason, I will give you as much notice as possible, and discuss the matter with you and try to agree a suitable alternative. If you do not wish to accept my suggested alternative, then I will refund the amount paid.
Procedures if the cake is unsatisfactory
If you feel your product is unsatisfactory please advise as soon as possible. Provide evidence of any faults or discrepancies. Any refunds will be given entirely at my discretion; please note that I will take photos of all cakes after they have been delivered / collected by the customer should any issues arise.
Collection
If you wish to collect your cakes please be mindful wedding and occasion cakes are fragile and require care and attention when handling, storing, and displaying. Please pay careful attention to my storage instructions that will be mentioned upon collection. I can not and will not be held responsible for any damages caused whilst the cake is in your possession. Please note that I will take photos of all cakes prior to collection should any issues arise.
Delivery
In the case of non delivery, such as car accident, poor weather or traffic accidents I will offer either a refund or a cake for a future occasion. There will be a nominal charge for delivery and cost of delivery can be obtain on request. Upon arrival and set up of the cake I will require a signed delivery note by the person in charge to say that the cake has arrived and that it arrived in perfect condition. I accept no liability for cakes that are damaged after they have been delivered to the agreed location. Please note that I will take photos of all cakes after they have been delivered should any issues arise.
